Everyone can earn money online and I am not trying to blow your ass.
There is no crazy system that you must learn or mystery that you must solve.
Go on Pinterest and view a large blog. Everything they do to make money is right there for you.
It may seem so obvious that you don’t really believe it. You might think there is a secret that you are missing but it really isn’t. If you study enough success stories, you’ll see the methods they use.
In this post I am going to tell you the 5 different ways in which I make money online and how I have achieved each of these ways.
Who the hell am I?
My name is Paul Scrivens and I run more than twenty (!!!) blogs in different niches.
Before you get the wrong idea, you don’t have to run many blogs to earn this kind of money. I just do it because I like to understand how I can be successful in a number of niches.
I currently make more than 5 digits per month on my sites. It varies from month to month depending on the niche and what I promote, but every month I am guaranteed (okay, nothing in life is guaranteed but it is consistent) to earn at least $ 50,000. View this blog revenue report that I made to see where the money comes from.
Here is a screenshot of one of my sites that raises money almost daily:
Note: I cannot receive bank deposits during the weekend, so some days in the image above are skipped.
If you want to get an idea of some of my sites (in addition to these), here’s a list of some:
Thrive / Strive
Dare to conquer
The daily diet
As you can see, I am quite varied in what I do and it is important to keep in mind that all of these sites contribute to the money I earn every month.
What about the other sites? They are still in the growth phase and will therefore not be added to the list until they also raise money.
First things first
Before I dive into the 5 ways I make money online, I want to talk to you about the most important aspect of making money online, regardless of which route you decide to take: building an audience.
If you can build an audience online, you have an easy way to make money.
This is a basic concept to understand. If you have an audience that watches you, you can earn money.
It is the core concept of every audience, regardless of whether it is online or offline. Without an audience (customers, customers, members), you have no business.
The problem is that many people just don’t know how to build an audience or to focus on building an audience. Instead, they deal with blog themes, Twitter posts, and other small things that don’t move the needle.
This is a big reason why one of the first courses about Dare to Conquer is a Pinterest course. You have to learn how to build an audience and that means getting traffic.
Seriously, if you have a blog and you have decided to build an audience, Pinterest is a great place to start. I have a Pinterest course available at Dare to Conquer that shows you how to increase traffic with Pinterest. That’s how important I think it is.
Or you can get started with my free Pinterest Bootcamp.
If you can get traffic to your site, the whole world starts opening for you.
It’s great that some bloggers tell you that you don’t need a lot of traffic to make money and that they are not wrong, but if you can get a lot of traffic, everything will be much easier for you.
If I have a blog that gets 100,000 page views per month, it means I will probably bring at least 50,000 people to the site (most blogs will do between 1.2 and 1.4 pages per session). That means I have to try to get a small percentage of those people to buy something from me if I really want to do well. If I can’t get them to buy, I have (in some cases) ads on the site that still earn me money.
With a decent advertising network, such as AdThrive or Mediavine, 100,000 page views should yield you between $ 800- $ 2000 per month.
As the number of visitors to my site increases, the chance that I earn more money increases. That should be easy enough to understand with a warning. The traffic cannot be random traffic. It must be traffic that is interested in what I write.
You are not going to take 100 vegans to your hot dog shop (no, you do not serve tofu dogs).
It’s a fairly simple formula, ma
Make it easy with a good niche
Let us now discuss something else that will be bad news for some of you.
If you want to make money online, I am not saying that you must follow your passion. Instead, I recommend that you do things that have been proven to work.
If you enjoy starting a blog, know that there are only 7 blog niches that generate good traffic and earn good money.
There is really no reason to try another niche for your first blog.
I have talked to people who want to start blogs about the topics they are most excited about and they assume they will do well simply because they believe other people love the topics as much as they do.
What people love are things that make their lives easier and better. Why do you think making money blogs, personal finance blogs and health blogs works so well?
Do not hesitate to start a blog in a large and popular niche. The public is already established in those areas, so it is pretty silly to avoid them.
With that being said, let’s look at the ways I make money online.
Every penny I earn starts with my blogs. I have compiled a series of free email bootcamps that show you all aspects of building a successful online business.

The 5 ways to make money online
I’m going to surprise you here and say that one of the ways is not to blog.
Nobody pays me to blog.
However, the whole reason why I can make money online is because of blogging, so if you want to make money online, I recommend that you blog.
Blogging is your marketing platform. Fancy marketing people like to call it content marketing.
Blogging gives you the opportunity to build an audience that in turn gives you the chance to open new revenue streams.
Get this right, blogging opens the doors for a lot of opportunities for you. So when you see other people talking about the virtues of blogging, they are not talking about how wonderful it is to write a piece of content.
In fact, one of the last things I want to do is sit on a computer and write.
They talk about how blogging raises the playing field for individuals to reach thousands or millions of people who are comparable to a larger company.
My site, Keto Bootstrap, reaches more than ONE MILLION PEOPLE ONE MONTH. That is completely insane for me.
Every way I make money online is directly connected to my blogging, but I don’t want to say that I make money by blogging.
That might be a bit technical, but I wanted to get rid of it.
